The XXIII Congreso Geológico Argentino welcomes Nielsen Logística y Expediciones as a Copper Sponsor, supporting an event that will bring together the national and international geoscience community from April 19 to 23, 2027, in San Juan.
With a history dating back to 1947, Nielsen is a San Juan-based company with extensive experience in operations throughout the Andes. Today, it provides comprehensive solutions for the mining industry, including transportation and logistics, camp management, geological services, and operations related to tourism and high-altitude expeditions.
Its experience in the field and in planning operations in mountain environments will also make a direct contribution to the Congress activities: Nielsen will assist with the transportation of participants taking part in one of the field trips scheduled for the 2027 edition.
The company will support the field trip From Ischigualasto to Barreal: Exploring the Evolution of Triassic Basins. Stratigraphy, Paleoenvironments, Paleontology and Subsurface Interpretation, a post-Congress activity to be held on April 24, 25 and 26, 2027. The trip will visit key outcrops of the Ischigualasto–Villa Unión and Northern Cuyo Triassic basins.
The itinerary will integrate stratigraphy, sedimentology, paleoenvironments, paleontology and subsurface interpretation, providing participants with the opportunity to examine in the field some of the most significant geological and paleontological records of the Triassic in western Argentina.
Nielsen’s participation as a Copper Sponsor strengthens the connection between the productive sector and the geoscience community while directly contributing to the academic and field activities that form part of the Congress. Its logistical support will bring the company’s operational expertise to an initiative focused on knowledge exchange, training, and the recognition of San Juan’s geological heritage.
The XXIII Congreso Geológico Argentino thanks Nielsen Logística y Expediciones for joining us as a Copper Sponsor and for supporting an activity that will take Congress participants directly into the field to explore and understand its geological history.
