Field Trips

The Organizing Committee of the XXIII Argentine Geological Congress – San Juan 2027 invites all interested parties to submit proposals for pre- and post-congress field trips.

Geology field trips are highly impactful scientific activities for several reasons. First, they allow direct observation of key outcrops essential to understanding natural processes, while encouraging discussion and interpretation based on the geological record.

Furthermore, field trips in San Juan offer an unparalleled setting for the exchange of experiences and knowledge among researchers from diverse disciplines (Andean and Pre-Andean Tectonics, Neotectonics, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic Stratigraphy, Metallogeny, Mining, Geological Hazard, among many others). In light of this, we invite all interested parties to complete the form with the required information to propose a pre- or post-congress field trip.

We look forward to receiving your proposals!
